The role
As a Credit Controller you will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable portfolio and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices. You will assess credit risk, monitor overdue balances, and take action to minimize bad debt and safeguard cash flow. This role requires close cooperation with both internal teams and external clients, as well as involvement in process improvements that enhance overall performance. The role reports to the Finance Manager and is based in Barendrecht.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly collection targets and keep bad debt at a minimum.
- Handle a high volume of debtor communication.
- Liaise with account managers on overdue and disputed accounts.
- Review disputes on a weekly basis and escalate when necessary.
- Manage cases where customers have gone into bankruptcy/liquidation, including contact with administrators.
- Conduct credit assessments for new and existing clients, including setting credit limits and payment terms.
- Prepare monthly reporting for the Finance Manager.
